CSTP in partnership with OSPI, WEA and NBPTS are sponsoring the 2009 NBCT Policy Symposium. About 100 NBCTs from around the state applied and were selected to participate in this Symposium where they will make recommendations on the new instructional funding, established in House Bill 2261. Their recommendations will focus on the prioritization of the earliest and greatest impacts for student achievement and its implementation over the next 8 years. Their recommendations will inform the newly-created Quality Education Council, that must report and recommend an education funding implementation plan to the legislature in January 2010.
