where it originated, to the United States is Catherine Lewis,
senior research scientist at Mills College, in the San Francisco

of a Lesson Study meeting. In this dramatic video, the
team discusses a lesson that had been developed by the team
and just been taught to a group of students. The teachers
find a problem and begin to revise their lesson plan. The
entire video is available for purchase from the college. Other
videos demonstrating Lesson Study are also available through
the site, many of which have segments that can be viewed on-line.
A
particularly interesting clip shows the entire Lesson Study cycle in a Japanese school. http://www.lessonresearch.net/canyoulift.html
