NBCTs: If you havebeen to the NBCT Leadership Conference in past years, consider returning toshare your leadership experiences with newly certified NBCTs this year!If your presentation is selected you will spend three days at lovelySleeping Lady, and you will also receive a small stipend. The call for proposals closes on February 22nd, so don't delay.
Additional information about session proposals:
- Conference sessions will be two hours long, and repeated for both conference sessions (Fri-Sat and Sat-Sun).
- Conference sessions must link NBCT leadership to one or more of the following OSPI priorities: High Needs Schools - practical strategies for improving learning in our most challenging schools; Take One! projects - NBPTS professional development opportunity; Closing the Achievement Gap - addressing the students who need us most; Mentoring and Induction - support for teachers in their first five years; Building-Wide Leadership - strengthening leadership knowledge/skills
- Sessions must also link to one or more conference goals: Develop strategies for expanding professional influence; Promote high-quality professional development; Collaborate with colleagues to address critical issues that impact student learning
- In addition to the two-hour conference session, presenters will lead several small group discussions. All materials and protocols for these discussions will be provided to presenters.
Presentation proposals are accepted online until 5:00 pm onFebruary 22nd.
