Early Career Performance Expectations Report

Early Career Performance Expectations report was created by a workgroup of teachers and principals and representatives from ESDs and higher education from across the state. They met over the course of a year to grapple with the following questions:

*How will the new Teacher Evaluation in Washington State provide helpful feedback to new teachers and promote growth among new teachers?

*How will principals and others charged with evaluating and supporting new teachers be able to use the evaluation materials to meet the unique needs of new teachers,and move them forward through their first years of teaching?

With support from the Paul G Allen Family Foundation, the workgroup met, discussed, researched and created the "Early Career Performance Expectations" to give educators in Washington State the tools to support our early career teachers and involve them in an evaluation process focused on growth.
