Over 100 NBCTs from around the state convened in October 2009 to develop recommendations for an eight-year phase-in of funding associated with the instructional elements called for in House Bill 2261, the education funding reform bill that passed during the 2009 legislative session. 2006 NBCT Policy Summit

In 2006, Washington held its first NBCT Policy Summit convening over 200 NBCTs to discuss and make recommendations on attracting and retaining high-quality teachers in the neediest schools.
