CSTP's research focuses on understanding teaching and learning in Washington's classrooms with the intention of using that understanding to advocate for changes in policy and practice that would assure quality teaching. While much of CSTP's research is supported by philanthropy, agencies and organizations also contract with CSTP. Clients include the state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), the Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB), the Washington State Board of Education (SBE) and school districts.
