Research Report: WA's Teacher Workforce Before Economic Downturn

A new CSTP report updates information on Washington's teacher workforce over the last ten years. Taking Stock in Washington's Teacher Workforce: An Assessment of Conditions Prior to the Economic Downturn provides trend data and new findings about the teacher workforce from 1996 to 2007. The report highlights research conducted by the University of Washington's College of Education that includes new information about teacher demographics (experience, age and ethnicity), as well as retention and mobility rates statewide and by district.
