Seattle Teachers Examine District Evaluation System

In fall of 2010 CSTP initiated an approach focused on developing teacher leader knowledge and skills in the Seattle Public Schools called the Seattle Teacher Leader Cadre. The approach engaged teachers on education issues they cared about, developed their voices, and moved them to act on their beliefs and knowledge.

 

CSTP has produced a brief about one of the cadres focused on Seattle's newly adopted teacher evaluation system to illustrate how they functioned, the knowledge teachers acquired, and the action they took.
