CSTP realizes the importance of the principal role in new teacher induction. Because of this we created a module for principals on ways that they can assist new teachers. Research shows that principals matter to new teachers. Following are two pieces of research that highlight the importance and impact of the principal on the new teacher:
The module addresses the following four areas: Culture of Support, Support Systems, New Teachers and the Law, and a Continuum of Support. The lesson design outlines the module while the power point addresses the particular strategies for delivering the module.
