Supporting Teachers of English Language Learners

CSTP will continually add the newest resources, research and information about emerging issues in supporting English language learners.

• ASCD devotes an issue to providing information and strategies assisting ELL students in language acquisition as well as supports for educators.

English Language Learners are a growing student population in Washington schools. As the classroom demographics change, so must the instructional practices and resources provided to address the unique learning needs of ELL students. Rooted in the findings of several recent ELL reports and research, CSTP has produced a policy brief for educators and districts called "Supporting Teachers of English Language Learners" about the challenges, ideas and resources for educating ELL students.
